Origin Story

Coming from an undergrad in Computer Engineering and possessing a strong sense for visual design, I have about 4 years of professional experience in brand identity development, responsive UI design, front-end development, 2D game dev, and XR. This synergy between visuals and tech has often seen me in the role of a mediator between design and development teams. And my knack for problem-solving as an engineer means I tend to jump headfirst into exciting and unfamiliar domains.

So, in hot pursuit of my dreams, I decided to pursue my Master's in Human-Computer Interaction at The University of Maryland. My time here has seen me dive deeper into the topics of:

  • UX research (through contextual inquiry, market analysis, white paper research and usability testing)
  • Inclusive design (through upholding accessibility guidelines and DEI principles).
  • Interaction and Visual design (by critically assessing UI patterns, flows and design systems)
  • Product strategy (bringing about true value innovation that meets all stakeholder requirements)
  • Game Design (how to break down experiences into formal and dramatic elements of play)
  • Emotional Design (how grounding research in emotional contexts can have a profound impact on the product)

Outside of work

You can catch me doing what I love most:

clicking photographs (on an old Nikon F10)
whipping up tacos (habanero salsa FTW)
prepping a game of D&D (as a unfortunate forever DM)
or documenting some Egyptian history for my next trip (and hopefully many more).
